I need to disconnect the onboard speaker in my Acer monitor V206WQL

I bought a model V206WQL monitor, but for some reason the speakers don't sound very good and I don't know how to control the volume. I downloaded a Bass Boost program and that helps, a bit.

So I want to disconnect/disable the monitor speakers. Then I can use the computer speakers I already have. You know the ones, with the volume control knob sticking out on the side. They aren't the best, but they don't cause the vibrating sound the monitor speakers do if I turn them up so I can hear the music 10' away.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

If no audio jack, use the OSD to mute or zero the volume on the monitor speakers. Then plug the computer speakers into your audio jack on the PC.

No need to do anything to the monitor speakers, just tell Windows which speakers you want to use by default. Sound Settings...
