Hi,

I have fresh installed win10, installed all the drivers from acer website.

My issue is, when i shut down or sleep the windows, screen goes black, but the power led is still lighting and fan is still working. To fully shut down the laptop, i need to press shutdown button for long time.

Can you help me ?

Thanks

Open Control Panel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane. Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable' near top of next pane. Scroll down and uncheck boxes for fast startup and hibernate. Save changes and exit. Shutdown Windows normally. Long press power button if necessary.

Turn it back on. Then try to shutdown normally again without using long press power button.

OK. Go back and open Control Panel again. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane. Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable' near top of next pane. Scroll down and uncheck box for sleep. Save changes and exit. Shutdown Windows normally. Turn it back on. Check to make sure the sleep option has disappeared from the power button in the Windows start menu. Only shutdown and restart should be visible.

Then go back and open Control Panel yet again. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane. Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable' near top of next pane. Scroll down and check box for sleep. Save changes and exit. Shutdown Windows normally. Turn it back on. Check to make sure the sleep option has now re-appeared from the power button in the Windows start menu. Try to put it to sleep again.
