Acer predator helios 300 charger issues

Hello from India.

Recently my acer laptop (model PH317-53-726Q) charger started having some issues where it will only work if the pin was set in a certain way and if the cable shaked a bit or the pin moved a bit, it would stop charging. Today it altogether stopped working, I adjusted the pin many time but it doesn't seem to work. I have also switched the power cable chord with a different one but no luck. I think the power is not getting to the pin.

I want to ask if someone else had a similar issue and does this mean that adapter is now dead?

Thanks

The only way to determine if the adapter or the laptop jack is dead, is to measure the voltage output of the charger plug between its outer barrel and center hole contacts with a multimeter. Should be about 19volts DC. If you don't have a multimeter, you should get one since they are less than $10usd and come in handy for other uses.
