This is the Acer fitted DC cable/plug and part number for your AN515-43 so get a new one from the web and replace the cable/plug, its a simple job if that is all that is wrong and why your laptop only charges when its on an angle? The laptops side DC ports outside part is the negative and the protruding pin is the positive, most DC ports go faulty when the plug either does not make contact with the negative or the positive pins, so check that out first as these plugs positive and negative pins get bent and lose contact from constant usage and cause a connection problem, do this before you replace the DC cable/plug and see if it fixes your problem, see caption below of a DC plug profile and how it works.

No you just buy a new DC plug/cable and its a plug and play type part. Also, what is the exact model number of your laptop, as then we can advise you of the part number.

If you only jiggle the charger plug in the jack without tilting the laptop at an angle, does it seem to charge sometimes? If not, your battery pack connector to the mainboard is loose or dirty. Needs to be reseated to help clean the contacts and firmly connect to the mainboard.

I have to put it in partly and it won't charge at all if it's not angled
