Acer Aspire R7 372T don't see new NVMe SSD

Hi, I have a problem with my Acer laptop. Model Aspire R7 372T. I bought a new SSD NVMe (Western Digital SN730) and my laptop doesn't recognize it. Windows doesn't see it, same with the BIOS and CrystalDisc. Also, in the first BIOS' page there is a non changeable voice about SATA. It's SATA MODE: RAID. I'm pretty sure I have to change this voice, but how? I can't. The original SSD is SATA, but I know that this laptop works with NVMe since there are some guys who upgraded it with 970 EVO Plus. Thanks in advance.

Please post a phone photo of the BIOS INFORMATION page if possible.

Hi, this is the BIOS. InsydeH20 rev. 5.0. I watched some videos on YouTube where some guys unlock this same BIOS unhiding Advanced and Power options. I tried with Fn + Tab for three times but nothing happened (also other methods, same result). The LITEON SSD it's the old one.
PS: Realtek USB Disk autorun is a WiFi USB dongle.
PS: I've tried both UEFI and Legacy boot mode.
Another thing, maybe it's correlated, I changed the original WiFi card, with an Intel 8260, but doesn't work. Even if Windows recognize it as Intel 8260 WiFi card, and I've installed latest Intel drivers, doesn't work. In device manager, it shows me the device with a yellow triangle. Thanks in advance.

Edit: Maybe I have to set a Supervisor password before the keys combination to unlock advanced options. What do you think?

  • Try this procedure:
    a) first disconnect the lithium battery and then disconnect the old ssd.
    b) then press the power button for thirty seconds and connect the ssd SN730.
    c) then connect lithium battery and check if ssd SN730 is showing in bios info tab.

Hi, with lithium battery you mean the CMOS battery?

Hold on. Replace the LiteOn boot card with the SN730. No other cards in the machine except the SN730. Then see if the SN730 shows up in the BIOS Information tab. Yes, I know it won't boot but we want to see if it shows up at this point.

Tried, in both slots. Even removed the WiFi card. Nothing. Simply the voices HDD0 Model Number and HDD0 Serial Number disappeared. Still present SATA Mode RAID. Do I have to try as egydiocoelho said? Did he mean the CMOS or the "normal" battery?
  • I'm referring to the "normal" lithium battery and not the cmos rtc battery.

Does the old LiteOn show up alone in both slots in the BIOS Information page after performing @egydiocoelho's suggestion?

Hi, sorry but I was busy in the past days. I've tried, nothing. I think I have to enter in Advanced option. Do you guys know how I can unblock it? Otherwise what else can I try? Thanks in advance.

Does the old LiteOn show up alone in both slots in the BIOS Information page after performing @egydiocoelho's suggestion? Any hidden settings in the BIOS would be revealed by pressing Ctrl+S in each tab.
