Acer nitro 5 AN515-57 - Audio glitch with bluetooth connected earphone.

This issue started when I upgraded to windows 11 recently.

Whenever I connect my bluetooth earphone to the laptop it does not directly play from the earphone itself, it plays through the speakers of the laptop and then I must manually select it to the earphone. This was never the case on windows 10, it directly connected I could listen to the sound from my earphones.

But that does not seem to be the only problem, sometimes I cannot even find the option to select to my earphones even though I have paired it. After a while of listening on the earphones it suddenly switches over to the speakers and when I try to switch it to the earphones manually it does not even show the device listed, but it does come back after either disconnecting and connecting back the earphone again.

This wasn't ever the case on windows 10, I don't know how the problem came up after I upgraded it to windows 11. Also the earphone works perfectly fine on other devices like my phone.

I have tried to search for any driver updates but it says that it's already up to date. I have also unpaired it and paired it back again and it seems to be the case again.

Hi @Ani123

You can try to reinstall the blue tooth drivers to check if that makes any difference.

NOTE: Make sure to reboot the laptop after uninstalling the driver.

I uninstalled the Bluetooth driver and then I rebooted it. I tried connecting it to my earphones, it connects but there is no music playing on the earphones.
Though it shows that it is connected I cannot see it connected to the earphones when I check the volume settings.

No, I had not added the device the way you told me.
So I tried that now. It still doesn't seem to work. Previously I could hear sound from the earphones at least for some time and it used to get disconnected. But now I cannot hear through my earphones at all, it only plays through laptop speakers.
The thing is if I connect a wired earphone it works perfectly, but bluetooth earphone through laptop does not work properly, but the same bluetooth earphone works perfectly on my phone.

I would try to revert back to windows 10. Then I would create a new partition and perform a cold install of windows 11. It is possible that a bug occurred during the upgrade.
