my computer was working fine yesterday, turned it on today and the keyboard isn't responding. I tried updating the driver in device manager and it says up to date but that the device cannot start and code 10. I made sure windows was up to date, not sure what else to do.

Probably the keyboard connector only needs to be re-seated on the mainboard a few times to help clean its contacts. Sometimes happens during a warm and humid weather spell. What is your full ACER series model number? For exampte, SW5-015? Or SF515-51T? R7-372?
