In order for my Acer Nitro 5 laptop to stay on I have to repeatedly press a button on my keyboard.

Not too long ago my Acer Nitro 5 started randomly shutting off. After a couple of tries I got it back on and running again, until a couple months ago it shut back off again . I kept playing around with it to find the problem but i couldn’t. I tried again today and I got it back on but I noticed I had to keep tapping any button on my keyboard to keep it on. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Depending on your AN5 model series (there are dozens), there may be a safety switch on the mainboard near the RAM  sockets that cuts all power to the mainboard when the bottom cover is loose or misaligned. You might want to try to tighten the bottom screws a little bit to make sure the bottom cover presses hard enough against this safety switch so the mainboard stays powered when turned on.
