Hi all,
My niece saved up months to buy herself a (what she thought being a good) gaming laptop, namely the acer nitro an515-56.

Now for her birthday, a family member bought her a VR set that isn't compatible (they had no idea that it's not a plug and play type of situation). Now obviously the disappointment is huge so we're looking for a compatible VR set but any we check out somewhat won't work with her laptop and she feels really sad that the laptop she bought herself doesn't work.

So I'm trying it the other way round: Is there any VR set that will work with this laptop?

Specs:
acer nitro an515-56

Prozessor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11370H @ 3.30GHz 3.30 GHz
RAM 16.0 GB (15.8 GB verwendbar)
Systemtyp 64-Bit-Betriebssystem, x64-basierter Prozessor

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650

I already learnt that the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 is not 'good' for VR but is there at least something that could work?

thanks so much in advance!

    The META QUEST 2 VR is compatible with an RTX-1650 gpu, see the Oculus Link compatibility page that shows that a GTX-1650 is supported, have a look here; https://support.oculus.com/444256562873335/ so change the VR to this type. As some VR's are compatible so do the research as the AN515-56 is a fine gaming laptop even with its RTX-1650 even if VR's are recommended to have a minimum of an RTX-2060 gpu.

    Hi, thanks for your reply, but I know the page because this was her first choice and it specifically says NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 is not supported....? The cross is in the right table...

    And we've done research but every VR set we checked out wouldn't work, hence I'm asking here for advice hoping someone has this laptop and a working VR set ;___;

    we did research looking for other VR sets but everytime it turns out not compatible that's why I try it the other way round, starting from the computer and go from there.
