Hello when I'm using my laptop Acer Spin 1 sometimes it will automatically switch into tablet mode if I move the screen slightly .Also if it is knocked or jogged the screen goes black.
The icon showing tablet mode flashes up on the screen/. To get it out of tablet mode IN have to manual fold the screen 360 back and then forward.
Is there a button to disable tablet mode? The lock rotation button is greyed out.
Why is the screen going black?
Why does it keep wanting to switch to tablet mode?

What is your Spin1 series model number?  For example, SP111-33?

    running windows 11.

Tech support on phone said that the problem is windows 11 because it is not possible to manual disengage tablet mode on Windows 11.
She said only option is to run Windows 10. I find it hard to believe that is the solution.
So Acer Spin 1 cannot be run on Windows 11?

She also could not explain why my screen went black but she felt it was something to do with it going in to tablet mode.

Usually the screen going black issue has to do with the charger. When the laptop is moved the plug for the charger shifts in the socket and the system thinks it's been removed and reinserted. It only happens (at least on my system) when the battery is fully charged. and I just have to hit a key and log back in to recover. I've started disconnecting the charger at least once a day for an hour or two which keeps it from getting to that fully charged state and it doesn't happen nearly as often.
Your SP114-31N has both a G sensor and a hall sensor. I believe the G sensor is used to determine when you rotate the screen and the hall sensor is used to determine when the laptop is opened past the 180° point. I wonder if the hall sensor is triggering too easily? Do you have anything nearby that has magnets in it?

You can try the VGA GPU, GPU utility, and chipset Win11 driver updates if you haven't  done so already at this link.
