Acer Aspire 5 A515-45-R74Z Windows 11- Will not wake with lid shut

I am primarily using this laptop with an external screen and lid shut.  Once it falls asleep I have to open up the lid to wake it - I went into BIOS and enabled wake with USB and I went into Device Manager and enabled "Allow this device to wake the computer" for my keyboard and mouse.  Is this a bug or am I missing a setting?  I also went into power management and set "Do Nothing" when lid is closed and plugged in.  It works great shut while awake - the issue is when it falls asleep and I cannot wake it back up.

Thanks!

Very likely yes. The Windows Control Panel power button app often doesn't respond when told to do nothing if the lid is closed. The screen shuts off as it should. Then the rest of the system goes to sleep anyway when the magnetic Hall lid position sensor detects that the lid has been closed.  After  the laptop goes to sleep, it won't wake up until of course the lid is partially and quickly opened and closed to activate the Hall lid position sensor again. In my case, this is more of an annoyance than an unacceptable problem. IOW, I can live with it. I suspect that it will eventually be resolved with a Microsoft or Acer update.  But I'm not hold my breath. :)

    Thanks Jack!
    The plot thickens :)
So I am using a USB switching hub as I have two laptops and use the same mouse and keyboard for both when docked.  If I plug my mouse directly into the Aspire 5 and not the switching hub it will wake back up without being opened.  Currently leaving an old wireless mouse plugged in for my "wake up" button.

Well, now, that seems to be your real bug.  Not mine though since I don't use a switch. Thanks for reporting back. :)
