(I've had to make a new post due to not being able to comment on the original post anymore)
The most recent Windows 10 update I think messed up my Acer apps, as I couldn't open Quick Access to fix my visual caps lock prompt that seemed to disappear after said update. I uninstalled it, and I've downloaded the driver, though the setup wizard keeps telling me 'install prematurely ended' or something like that. And I also tried installing Acer Care Center, but it came up with the same error.
I'm not sure what to do, as I need this visual prompt. Windows has one, but it's too aggressive for my taste
So far I've tried;
Freeware uninstallers to remove the old, possibly corrupted copy of both Quick Access and Care Center. I still cannot reinstall either, so now I'm left without both
Turned off Windows quick startup
Reinstalled fresh copies of some Windows system files
Disabled apps in task manager startup tab
Tried using the control panels restore point, but there isn't any to rollback on
I do own a third-party antivirus/malware app called Malwarebytes and I use it frequently. Furthermore, I used it after the issue started to see if any viruses were causing any of this and did find some malware, but that didn't fix it.
