I have a laptop spin 5 that was bought 2017, my laptop is working fine except i noticed lately that the rubber part of the monitor starts to peel off. I got in touch with Acer here in the the Philppines and they verified the serial number but I was informed that the model has no parts available and that if ever I need to service it parts availability will be undefinite, that means it might take forever to get the part.  My question is, since this is an old unit, as according to your service center, that means if it gets broken I will throw it out the window and buy an new one? It this is so, then what is the purpose of the service centers? To service only new ones?

Most of what service centers do is warranty work and repairing physical damage to newer units. Typically the expense of repairing an old system is too close to the replacement cost. What specifically is going wrong with yours? Is it a cosmetic or functional issue? Can you show us a picture?
