Aspire 5 Charging issue

My new aspire 5 charges but there is no orange light to show it is charging or when it is fully charged.  What is the solution.

    @Carred then the laptop still recognizes the charger. Now, try to turn the laptop off, flip it over, look at the bottom cover, and you should see a battery reset button. Use a small tool like a toothpick, sim ejector, or paper clip, and push for about 5 secs.

    @AnhEZ28 Tried that no luck but the battery is almost fully charged.  I’ll try again when it is low.  Thanks for your help at least it is charging.
