Can anyone advise on my backlit keyboard that no longer works on Acer Swift 5 SF515-55T

Hello everyone! I bought an Acer Swift 5 SF515-55T in April, with a backlit keyboard. A few nights ago, Windows II must have updated itself, and I turned the laptop on in the morning to find the keyboard was no longer backlit (though otherwise it worked fine, and still does). After trying various things myself I phoned the Acer helpline and was told to reset the entire laptop. I have now done that *twice* in case I did it wrong the first time, I've reinstalled Windows from the cloud, but my keyboard still does not light up when I type. It does temporarily light up when I turn the laptop on, so it's not that the lighting has stopped working altogether, it just doesn't respond to touch any more.

What do I do now? Please help!

Check the top row of function keys on the keyboard for a key with the ACER "A" keyboard backlight symbol. This will usually toggle the keyboard backlight on and off either by itself or in combination with the FN key. Usually the F8 thru F12 have the "A" backlight symbol.
