would WD SN770 be good?
how would the read & write speed be on gen3?

i owned a Kingston KC2500 and will move it to second slot (getting new ssd for more storage),
how is SN770 compared with KC2500 on gen3?

other ssd recommendations?

thanks

The WD SN770 is a PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 type drive and its a very reasonably priced M.2 drive and is great value but, it will not give you the Gen4 x4 speeds so remember that your AN515-44 OEM M.2 speeds are of a PCIe Gen3 x4 that is the difference, it will work as these M.2 drives PCIe Gen types are backward compatible as and if you ever want to upgrade to a PCIe Gen4 x4 then you can use this NS750 M.2 drive, that is the only advantage that you will get. Btw, I'm thinking of getting the NS850 for my new AN515-56 that has the PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 type drive and came OEM with the WD NS530 that is not as quick.

    thanks for your help :)
seems gen 3 & 4 ssd are at the same price at the moment.

at what speed would SN770 be capped at if i stay gen3? 3940MB/s?

i guess SN850 is too good for my an515-44?

(i won't get new laptop in next 3 years)
    thanks
