Today I played cs -everything was normal - in the middle of the game my FPS dropped from 200-300 to 40, drawdown to 20. It's the same in other games. The battery is constantly on, rebooted the computer, downloaded the Windows update, there are no new drivers and used the magic ctrl + shift + win + b. I wrote NVIDIA support - it didn't help. NVIDIA Control panel - I also changed the settings - nothing. I changed the software values in the Registry editor for tutorials - nothing. The laptop is new - 2 months. I have never changed anything in the settings (except what I was recommended). Today I reinstalled drivers - fps went down to around 20-30
Acer Nitro 5 AN517-54-78NY
Specs:
Microsoft Windows 10 Home
11th Gen Intel(R) core(TM) i7-800H @2.3 GHz, 8 cores
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU
Driver version 516.59
1920 x 1080, 144Hz

P.S.
The normal CPU speed is a little more than 3 GHz
Battery boost is never turned on, neither is whispermode
The quality settings are not optimized for the recommended ones - they are specially SMALLER for a larger FPS (I tried to set it to optimal for the first time - there are no changes - I changed it back to low)

Heh-heh, I don't think anybody here on these Acer user forums recommended the changes you tried. especially registry edits. To get back to wherever you started before making these changes, you need to do a full ACER factory OEM Windows system reset either using the AcerCareCenter app or an ALT+F10 cold boot factory reset.

    1) That's what nvidia support recommended me to do
    2) I saved the registry edits back up before I was changing the values so I can easily go back to them whenever I want
    3) Do You think it can be due to thermal paste driyng out? As I said earlier, I had this laptop for 2, mb 3 months and few days prior the FPS drop I experienced stuttering twice when my CPU was at 90 degrees C (it was a hot day - UK weather is on the next level). Normally my CPU temp is around 40-50 degrees C. Do You think that may be the reason?

No. The machine is far too new for factory paste to dry.

The best and easiest way to rule in or rule out a hardware problem is an  OEM factory reset using the hidden ACER recovery partition. You've likely made far too many changes with generic 3060 recommendations that probably shouldn't have been applied to the mobile version of the 3060 soldered to your proprietary Acer mainboard . The OEM reset is far superior to any other way of getting back to where you started. You can use either the AcerCareCenter or the preferred ALT+F10 cold boot method.
