Aspire e5-573 Hardware or driver issue?

Acer Aspire e5-573    model n15q1

Screen display flickers with 3/4 of it being completely whited out. I used to be able to manuver the screen as a temporary fix but now it just displays this all the time. It's hard to diagnose since the screen isnt visible so a hint as to what to look into would help

    Does the issue show while the Acer splash screen is being displayed when you first power it up? Also try a power reset, disconnect the power and video cords then press and hold the power button for one minute, then reconnect and turn back on.

    I probably have to move this post because this is a laptop. I did try a hard shutdown and the issue still remains. It disappeared temporarily when flashing the spinning wait time icon during start up, but went back to a blurred screen.
