Why is my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54 running much worse than when I got it?

Hi, I got my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54 around a year ago, and when I first got it, it could run almost almost any game with relatively good fps. Now, it runs those same games terribly, even with a much better setup. I have completely reset my computer recently and so I'm pretty sure it does not have to do with any third parties or things to do with the software. I'm really stuck on if I can do anything about it, or if I'll just have to get a new computer to play those games.

Give us more details of what OS you are running, have you got the latest windows updates and drivers etc etc as just saying the above means nothing as all laptops have different issues and quirks that affect their performance if not maintained properly, its like a car if you don't tune it then a Ferrari wont perform etc etc as and especially with heating where consumers don't do the basics, like repasting, cleaning their laptops internals from felt and dirt, fans bearings or even if you pay hard core games you need to upgrade the ram to the laptops max as that has a big bearing on performance.
