Should I get a new 8gb ram stick Nitro 5 AN517-52 ?

Heres my ram with no programs open:



my available ram goes to 500-200 MB When im playing a game.

Your cheapest option for your OEM AN515-52 laptop is to match the existing ram exactly the same as you have e.g. if you have 1x 8Gb match it with another of exactly the same timing/capacity and preferably the same manufacturer to give you dual channel which is best for gaming performance. To do this and find out all about your existing ram specs, download CPUz and install this software, do the CPUz scan of your Nitro 5 and look at the Memory and SPD sections to give you this info.

@mylaptopisloudhelp the stick that you are planning works fine but you should get the 3200MHz stick instead of the 2666MHz to match with the current RAM specs.

will my laptop wont work if i get the 2666MHz version?

@mylaptopisloudhelp it still works but the bus speed will just clock down to 2666MHz and some performance reduction.
