g3-571 laptop with broken gpu, How can I force the HDMI port to use my integrated gpu instead of gtx

I have g3-571 with a broken gpu, its broken to the point where if I use it it crashes my laptop. I have the display adapter gtx1060 disabled, when i plug in my monitor into hdmi, nothing happens, sometimes it transmits laptops audio thru hdmi, but not the video. If i turn on my gtx gpu then the hdmi works and the monitor somewhat works but my pc becomes very laggy and glitchy and dies in the end so I cant use it. How can I force the HDMI port to use my integrated graphics card? keep in mind because of g3-571, my bios settings are limited so theres nothing I can change that is usefull in there.

Try pressing FN+F5 to turn it on.

Your 1060 GPU is likely overheating. When was the last time you repasted the heatsinks and cleaned the fans and ductwork? This is considered regular maintenance that should be done yearly if you're a heavy gamer.

my gpu is dead, not overheating, the moment i turn it on the pc starts dying, airfans are cleaned, before the death i saw heavy artifacts so I know for a fact its dead. I did try fn f5, i have tried it before, doesnt work. detecting screen doesnt work either.

The 1060 chip must also be re-pasted to its heatsink. This must be done or a clean fan means nothing. The 1060 chip will heat up very quickly and shut down with old dried out paste Did you re-paste it? When?

you know you cant take off the gpu right? its not a cpu, its soldered on, if i could i would have bought a new gpu and replaced it. and the gpu is dead, its not gonna be alive, its not overheating, just accept that its dead... my question is can i make the hdmi work via integrated gpu which according to documentation, supports this stuff. I got a usb-hdmi adapter so I got the monitor working without the hdmi cable. still would like to know why it doesnt work tho

The GPU heatsink is NOT soldered to the mainboard!!! It is screwed down against the soldered GPU chip on the mainboard.

There is a thin layer of thermal paste between the unsoldered heatsink and the soldered GPU chip. This paste must be routinely changed, preferrably annually if you're a heavy gamer. The heatsink is removed from the GPU by unscrewing the thermal module from mainboard. Apparently this has not been done and likely the reason why the GPU overheats and shuts down very quickly.

My suggestion to you is this, as you cant do anything with a faulty gpu (you can't replace it) and you have disabled the GTX-1060 and it still doesn't work, I'm afraid you will have to buy a new mobo if you want to keep this laptop? The G3-571's OEM mobos list are below so I would suggest that you replace the mobo with either the i5 or i7 GTX=1060 gpu models, which you can do yourself easily if you are experienced enough to do that? As I would not suggest that you do this job if you are NOT experienced enough or you don't have the proper tools! Otherwise take your laptop to a technician to do the job for you but, this is if you can buy this particular and exact same Acer part number mobos that suits the G3-571? Don't attempt to put any other mobo into your laptop as it won't fit as it has to be the same part number as listed below for your G3-571.

I know what motherboard to buy and how to replace it, i dont want to fix/replace my gpu as im gonna get another pc, im dont need my gpu, my question was about hdmi and integrated gpus and not "how can i fix my gpu"

This model seems to have the MSHybrid video platform built in to the nvidia GPU chip. HDMI output can possibly be switched from the dGPU to the iGPU through the nvidia control panel if the nvdia GPU chip is still recognized by and responds to the nvidia control panel. The FN+F5 external monitor toggle key combination might also have to be used to make the switch.
