I have an Acer Aspire 3 A315-53.
It's a core i5 7th gen with 12GB RAM.
I started using this laptop last year in December and I was able to play games like GTA 5, Max Payne 3, Blur, Darksiders, WWE 2K17,MK XL and a lot more old games on medium settings and they would run smoothly.
In April this year, I had updated to the latest version of windows 10 21H2 and I also updated all my drivers. A week after doing this, I noticed that all the games started lagging all of  sudden for about 3 to 5 seconds continuously. I did lots of tests such as hard drive and memory diagnosis but the problem continued. I decided to do a clean installation of windows but even after doing this, I'm still facing the same problem and it's very much annoying. What can I do?

The Aspire 3 A315-53 not the upper Aspire 3 A315-54G (as the G has a dedicated NVIDIA® GeForce MX130 graphics) is not a gaming laptop and its limited by its graphics especially with what Win-10 and its latest update the 21H2 requirements are for graphics and all other memory functions, hence and that is what's happened to your Aspire 3 laptop, IMO and with this laptops integrated cpu graphics which is the Intel HD Graphics 620 (that relies on ram for best performance) is for you to upgrade and increase your ram to the max of 20GB (1x 16 DDR-2400 into its 1x ram slot) as the Crucial System Scan suggests, as at 12GB you have the 1x 8GB DDR4-2400 (as this laptop has fixed soldered on memory of 4GB) as the low ram has a contributing factor also to your graphics and gaming performance.

Make sure that your Intel graphics and all Intel drivers are up date by installing the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant and doing a scan as that will improve your integrated graphics performance and also look at articles on the web like "Tweaking Intel HD Graphics for Better Gaming Experience" as there are many. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

How about check the Performance section under Task Manager, see if your RAM usages passed 85%  or CPU close to 95%. Also, is the laptop CPU temperature exceeded 90 C under load?
