I was going to buy Travelmate TMP215-41-G3-R4MA or P215-41-G3-R4MA by an other name, the Ryzen 5 AMD variant, when I saw that my country's Acershop sells it without the HDD Upgrade kit that they provide for example with Travelmate TMP215-53-55G4, which is the intel variant. I called them, and they informed me that it is because the AMD variant doesn't even have a SATA socket on the motherboard, which, as upgrade/disassempbly videos show on the internet, is hidden under the wifi card on the intel mobo. However, I have found the exact same model with an HDD upgrade via configuration on offer in other webshops, some very reputable ones, so, apparently, with them it can be configured with a hard disk drive at least, somehow. Now I would like this laptop with the option to upgrade it with a 2.5" drive, but with an SSD, not with an HDD, which upgrade I would do myself after the purchase.
Can anyone please confirm that there is an internal sata port on the motherboard of P215-41-G3-R4MA, place and screI have just seen thisw holes for a caddy, and if so, can anyone tell me where I could find and order a fitting 2.5" upgrade kit for that model?
(P.s. I have just seen this: Our Acershop is currently selling TMP215-41-G3-R1ZF, which is also an AMD variant (Ryzen 3), optionally with an HDD. Sry guys, this is not making any sense.
