Hi guys, I have a PH-315-52-71Z2  Acer Predator laptop, with RTX 2060, and my GPU is completely dead. Where can I get replacement part for this model? I could change it, but I cant buy anywhere a new GPU chip for the laptop.

Sorry for my bad english.

    How do you know with any certainty that the chip is dead? Because the GPU chip is an integrated part of the laptop mainboard. This means It  can't be replaced by the user like a GPU card in a  desktop mainboard

    Hi @ norbbert

    This graphics card not detected problem may occur if you are using the wrong graphics driver or it's out of date. So you should update your graphics driver to see if it fixes your problem. If you don't have the time, patience or skills to update the driver manually, you can do it automatically with Driver Easy

    Please answer my earlier question. How do you know with any certainty that the chip is dead? Some devices? What diagnostic devices did you use. Please be specific.  Because the GPU chip is an integrated part of the laptop mainboard. This means It  can't be replaced by the user like a GPU card in a  desktop mainboard

    Yes, the chip on the motherboard is dead. I took it to my friend who is a computer engineer, and he told me that the dedicated GPU is dead.
    Also he said, that it can be replaced via soldering.
    I have no money to buy a new motherboard for this, thats why I need a GPU chip for it.
    My friend said he can re-solder it with a new GPU.

    @egydiocoelho
    No, its not displayed, but the problem is larger than a driver or software problem.

    We are diagnostised the problem, and we only need a new or used RTX 2060 GPU chip for this, please help me with that, and please do not give me tips what I need to check or do. I'm learning computer programming, and I well know about the software side of things.

    @norbbert did you guys try to reball the GPU chip? You can look at the model number on the GPU chip and search it on the internet like n18e-g1-kd-a1. I have never seen many people replace the chip but it could turn out to be successful if it is done correctly.

    Reballing is useless because it has a sort circuit. Its completely dead

    @norbbert then your friend and you could try to order that GPU chip (on aliexpress) and the stencil. Might be better to do some research to make sure whether replacing the GPU chip is possible or not.

    I know you don't want to hear this, but trying to replace a BGA chip on a board that might have suffered additional issues associated with the chip failure, seems like a big gamble. Furthermore, I'd estimate that the bare die & sub-board would cost between $100-200usd with S/H --- not to mention time spent --- and carries a very high risk of collateral damage that ultimately ruins the board.

    If it was mine, I'd try a full board or directed heat gun reflow at this point before trying to replace an individual BGA chip. Board reflow is essentially how the die was originally installed at the mainboard factory. BGAs are never meant to be replaced. Reflowed, yes, but not replaced  Full board and heat gun reflows are quick and easy to do. They not only can repair solder failures and short circuits, they can sometimes fix integrated circuit imperfections.
