Aspire 7 A715-75G-57GR Laptop very seldom detects charger in some cases

I have an Acer Aspire 7 A715-75G-57GR. In some cases, the laptop outright refuses to detect that the charging cable was plugged in.
Every time I checked, everything appears fine both about the laptop itself and the cable. What in the living hell happened??

You might not have noticed that other tray icons, like local weather etc, may also not respond or update immediately when an event happens (like plugging something into a port) till after they're actually clicked on and opened (or checked if you prefer). Sometimes they auto-refresh quickly after an event. Sometimes not so quickly, Sometimes never till they're manually checked. Such is the nature of PCs. So I seriously doubt anything unusual is happening.
