I was curious whether or not my model screen was matte plastic or glass, are LCD screens usually glass?

    Generally these screens are the matte type.
    If you can see your own reflection, then it is glossy, if not then it is a matte type.

    Thank you, but I'm asking if the screen is plastic or glass, not what the finish is.
    On my old Dell the screen was glossy and there was a thin layer of glass,

    On other laptops I've had, where the screen was matte, it wasn't really glass, but seemed to be some kind of plastic.

    I see, I guess mine being matte would probably be plastic but I can't know  for sure. I just know generally LCD screens use glass.
