Hi guys.
I have this Aspire for only two years.
Suddenly it stopped booting normally: when I turn it on, the blue light turns on, but the screen doesn't, so does the fan. There is no sound of any booting. Then, if I try to turn the laptop off, with the turn on/off button, nothing happens, the blue light keeps turned on. Even if I close the laptop, usually the blue light would start to blink, but since the laptop isn't working it stays on. So, the laptop just turns off when the baterry dies.

I'm going to send the laptop for repair, but I'm sending the issue here to get some ideia of what might have happened, and to know if it's common to this model.

Try pressing and holding the power button for at least 10 seconds to see if it will turn off. Then keep charging the battery till the charge LED turns from steady orange to steady blue. May take several hours. Then try to turn it on again.

Does the power light turn completely off when you press and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds?

Sorry. This seems to be a most troubling symptom since it involves sensors on the mainboard. It's also possible the KB connections to the mainboard might have loosened, need to be reseated or failed. If still under warranty, you should arrange for warranty repair service because it might involve replacing a major component.
