Anyone using Acer Nitro 5(Amd ryzen 7 and Nvidia rtx 3060 variant)?
I very recently bought the laptop and observed my battery draining even while it was plugged in. Around 6%  when gaming. I only play valorant medium settings. It even drained 1% battery while switched off.
Is it normal for gaming laptops?

This should be normal for gaming laptops.
There are many reasons why gaming laptop batteries drain so fast, for instance, there could be too many processes running in the background. Gaming applications or any other desktop app can also drain the battery. Your system can be running on high brightness or other advanced options. Too many online and network connections can also cause this problem.
When your computer requires more power than the AC adapter can provide, it will stop charging to allow it to draw additional power from the battery. The system will resume charging the battery when the power demands are lower. This may occur during heavy gaming sessions.
If the battery discharges below 30% while using the AC adapter, the system will stop using power from the battery until the charge is above 40% again.

    Sorry, I messed your reply,

it's normal for the laptop battery to drain even while it is shut off.
Many laptops use the Connected Standby feature, and this feature won’t completely turn off your laptop. Instead, it will keep it in a state similar to Sleep Mode and allow you to easily boot your PC and continue where you left off. This is different from Fast Boot, which is a BIOS/UEFI option.

YOu can disable the Connected Standby feature if you wish to.
Note: This solution involves modifying the registry. Since this can be potentially dangerous, it’s advised to create a System Restore point just in case.
Press Windows Key + R and enter regedit. Now press Enter or click OK.
    regedit run dialog battery drain
In the left pane go to the following key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlPower
In the right pane, double-click the CsEnabled DWORD.
    regedit battery drains laptop
Set the Value Data to 0 and click OK to save changes.
    value data battery drain

After doing that, restart your PC and the problem should be permanently resolved. Bear in mind that by disabling this feature you’ll disable the Sleep feature completely, but at least the problem will be resolved.

So, this is not an issue, it is normal. Although this feature can be useful, it will drain your battery even while your laptop is off.
