Acer Aspire E15 E5-575G-50PY Battery/Power Issue & Blue Screens?

Hi all,

I've been using an Acer laptop (Acer Aspire E15 E5-575G-50PY) for more than 5 years. a few years back it stopped running on battery even though it showed as fully charged as soon as it was disconnected from main power it restarted with a blue screen message, but I was able to use it with still connected.

A few days ago I had its battery replaced, yet I'm getting the same blue screen messages after about 45min it runs on battery (a different blue screen msg every time) I tried reinstalling windows (Windows 10 Pro) but the issue remains the same... as long as it's connected to the main power it works fine

So far I got the following blue screen errors
  1. SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED
  2. SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (what failed: Ci.dll)
  3. IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
  4. KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED (what failed: Ntfs.sys)
  5. PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA
  6. CRITICAL PROCESS DIED
  7. UNEXPECTED KERNEL MODE TRAP
  8. UNEXPECTED STORE EXCEPTION
I ran a memory diagnostic as well but found no issues...

I think the problem is with power distribution in the motherboard... Is the issue battery-related? any suggestion on what I should do to fix this?

Doesn't necessarily mean you got a good battery. Accordingly try to run a battery report as follows:

    (1) Search 'cmd' in Windows start menu.
    (2) Right click command prompt near top of menu.
    (3) Click run as administrator.
    (4) Enter 'powercfg /batteryreport' at command prompt.
    (5) Then return to the desktop. Open file explorer.
    (6) Then search for' battery-report.html' in the c:\windows\system32\ sub-folder. Double-click to open it in the browser.
    (7) Post screenshot of the first part of the report if possible that compares design full charge capacity with its remaining full charge capacity.

    >>>I tried reinstalling windows (Windows 10 Pro)>>>

    New battery seems OK.

However, the error messages mainly suggest operating system file corruption, not hardware except maybe RAM despite your mem diagnositics. What RAM sodimms do you have installed?

What do you mean by "I tried re-installing"? And exactly how did you try to re-install WinPro?

My Ram is 8GB DDR4

I formatted just the C partition that previously windows was installed on (I don't keep much data on C), then re-installed & the drivers... I have lots of data on my d partition so I kept it the same...

Yes but exactly how did you reinstall WinPro? From the hidden ACER OEM factory recovery partition? Or from a generic Microsoft USB installation stick? Or some other way?

I made a bootable USB (downloaded from the Microsoft website)

What was the original factory installed operating system if any?
