Recycling/technophobe Acer tablet a501

Hi,

My sister got a couple of A501 tablets from an op shop, however as they are obsolete they are not worthwhile me keeping. I’m wondering if anyone knows of any organisations that take old IT gear for recycling or perhaps dismantling to learn about technology inside tablets?
