Alright here goes : -
I have Acer Nitro 5 (2018) AN515-42 Ryzen Configuration.
CPU : - Ryzen 5 2500u
GPU: - RX560x 4gb
Ram: - 16gb (8+8 dual channel)
OS: - Windows 10 Home Single Language (On SSD)
Drives : - Toshiba HDD 1TB
Samsung Evo 860 M.2 SATA SSD 1TB
BIOS Version 1.18 latest (available on Acer Website)
I am trying to install Kali Linux (Debian Based OS) as live image along side my windows 10 through an SD card (Sandisk 8gb). I don't want to install Kali Linux in the same SSD as of my windows nor do i want to install it in my HDD. I want to use its live image through the SD card so that i can use the SD card on any system on which i want to use Kali. The problem which i am facing is after burning the image on the SD card through rufus, when going into the BIOS menu the SD card does not show up as bootable device. I have tried everything that i could, Tried burning in both MBR and GPT schemes, in both file systems FAT32 and NTFS with cluster size being default 4096 bytes, i have tried disabling fast boot, secure boot still SD card does not show up as bootable device. How can i use SD card as a bootable device so that i can use Kali Linux through the card?
