Hi everyone.
So this situation started with me trying to find a acer authorized parts reseller that can sell me the metal fans or heatsink assembly with metal fans for my PH315-51-78NP. (I have contacted capitaldatausa.com today so lets see what they respond)
At first I had found zandparts.com and thought I might be able to purchase the parts from them. After a quick search I found that the heatsink assembly was not in stock. So I asked zandparts when they would receive new stock and in the question form they have you enter your product's serial number.
They responded quite fast saying that parts with yellow stock status have no local stock but can be ordered from manufacturer and be sent out to me after 2 to 4 weeks.
Now here comes the weird part.
They asked me to confirm the serial number as they did not get any hits in their system when searching for it. (Which I kind of already expected as the acer support site also shows up as "not found" when searching with the serial number / snid number.)
So I send them a picture of the label with the serial number and snid number to confirm its the correct number.
Nearly a week later I get a email from zandparts with this response: "We just got respons from ACER and here was the respons:
"NHQ3FA********************* is not an EMEA product. Meaning, we cannot support it"
Unfortunately we are not able to provide parts for this device."
(EMEA= europe, middle east, africa)
I found this response to be pretty strange.
Does that mean acer does not provide support for its products unless they were purchased in europe, the middle east or africa?
