I recently bought a Nitro 5 AN515-58 (2022 model) and found out that if I have a USB Stick inserted and close the laptop (to put it in standby mode) and then open the laptop at a later time, the screen remains dark while the keyboard is still glowing. I then started pressing random keys in hopes to wake it up. Didn't work. So then I pressed the power button for 5 seconds to do a forced shutdown. The keyboard went dark and then I waited a few seconds and pressed the power button. Nothing happened. The laptop was not turning on no matter how many times I pressed it. This made me panic hard since I spent $1750 on this thing!!! >_<  Luckily I unknowingly did a battery reset by removing the power cable and holding the power button for over 20 seconds. Then I pressed the power button once again and it started up and I unclenched. Acer please fix!

Yes unfortunately these new Nitro's are all the same as I've also got a new AN515 2022 and its done the same in 'Sleep" mode and with premature turn off's of between 5 to 10 min of the laptop when connected to a usb laptop coolers hub that was permanently connected, when this never ever happened with other laptops, I've also had the sleep> wake problems doing the same as you. Also, its not a good idea to leave a data usb drive always connected while activating sleep/reboot and shut down modes as it could damage the USB drive and its data, hence its much better to eject it every time you remove a usb as I've lost allot of USB drive data by not doing that.
