    Hi @Wachu

You can try doing a battery reset. Disconnect the laptop from the charger. Press and hold down the power button for 20 secs. Then try to connect it back and try to turn it on. Try with a different charger.

Hope it will help you in some way.

Looks like it's turned on to me. Press FN+F6 to turn the screen on.

  • Does the acer logo only appear on the second try? Can you access the bios?

Hey Wachu, in the photo that you have attached the key's lights are on? Your laptop should be on? Send us a photo of what happens after you press the power key and the laptop doesn’t turn on, show us the screen also. I’ve got the exact laptop and I had this happen once also (as its not a problem) this laptop also has this issue when putting into "Sleep Mode" and another issue when connecting a usb hub that turns this laptop of prematurely every 5 to 10min. Its not a problem as there is nothing wrong with your AN515-56 as and if Acer service sent it back there is nothing wrong with your power on/off.

Do this, make sure that the charger plug is plugged in properly and pushed into the laptop until you hear a ‘click’ and the two blue lights are on when you open the lid, then press the power key, that should power your laptop on. If not then disconnect the charger plug at the back and power the laptop on battery only the same way, if that doesn’t work then you will have to open the back cover and disconnect the batteries plug to mobo, leave it disconnected for about 10min as that also resets the bios then reconnect the battery plug and press the power key, that should power the laptop on as this should work 100%. If that doesn’t work then there is something internally wrong with the power circuitry.
