It's quite a long card (30 x 13.36 x 5.35 cm) and almost the same lengthwise as my previous ASUS 1080 Ti Strix which I _barely_ managed to squeeze in my PO3-620.

Sorry, I can't give you a definitive answer. I think it would be better to look for a GPU with 2 fans.

Yes, But what brand and model GPU card is it now? You may have an issue with the power supply if it's less than 500watts. It might be only 300watts.

Sorry. Your PCIe socket is Gen3. So I doubt you can take full advantage GPU even if the 8-pin connector was available.

If the new card has to be ASUS, they make at least four dual fan cards that are only 20cm in length. Measure your current card, or look it up here => link goes to a comparison site that lists almost all cards ever made. Safest bet would be a card that is 27,5cm or less in length.

Youtube has at least one comparison video made with 3060 Ti at resolutions 1080p and 1440p. (More videos with 3080/90.) The hit you take is not that big.

The card thickness might also  be an issue. I suggest that you use a vendor with a good return merchandise authorization (RMA) policy if it doesn't work out.

750watts is recommended. 500watts might barely work. I doubt a "little better"  is worth the effort or cost or possibility of your 500watt PSU being overloaded and shutting down unexpectedly. If it was mine, I wouldn't do it. But it's not mine. So it's your decision. Sorry I can't be more encouraging.

NVIDIA shows a recommendation of 550W, not 750W for the 3060. Acer ships a number of models now with the 3060 ti and 3070 in a 500W 12VO environment. In fact, the Predator PO3-630G models come with a 1660, 2060, 3060 ti or 3070. I'd pick one of those instead of the 3060 you are looking at. The 12GB of memory in your suggestion is the only reason I'd stay away from it. When you get to the edge of the power available you can see weird glitches. You may not see those at first, but if you also maxed out the motherboard memory and dropped a HDD or two in you could easily run into issues that would be difficult to trace. 12GB will require half again the power for memory than the 8GB used on the stock cards.

I think RTX 3060 Ti would be a nice upgrade for you, but then again there is that possible power issue. Most likely the GPU would work just fine, but then again it might crash under heavy load. There is no way to tell. The PSU recommendations are usually inflated.

Does it have to be NVIDIA? AMD Radeon 6600 XT has PSU power recommendation of 450W. 6700 XT is already 550W.

I'd look for reviews and comparisons (1660s, 3060 Ti, 6600 XT) at the resolution you use and see if the price is good for the performance gained.

Just saw performance for 6600 Xt and 1660 super 6600 xt outperforms it and it has a nice price on the card

AMD makes some pretty good cards, but NVIDIA seems to be more popular.

6600 XT should be quite a good update from 1660S, especially if you play at 1080p. Thankfully Youtube has comparison videos of most cards at various resolutions and games, so at least you can make an educated purchase.

I don't know how accurate TechPowerUP site's "relative performance" is, or how it is measured, but according to them 6600 XT is a better performer than 3060 or 1080 Ti. I used to have 1080 Ti, and it is still a decent gaming card at lower resolutions.

Yea I also look at techpowerup and they comparisons are in between lol but reason everyone like nvidia it mainly built for gaming and amd cards built for productivity like and cpu made for gaming. And intel made for productivity and  also think people like nvidia more because drivers of amd I heard also 6600 XR get some criticism for the price of the card and performance the price itself looks reasonable and performance is kinda on par with next gen consoles
