My laptop is PH315-53-7254.

I have encountered issue with my gaming laptop when I run games.

Power usage goes up when I start a game and soon after battery stops charging (1-5 minutes). I do not run very demanding games nor doing overclocking. Same games I was able to run without issues few months back.

I have seen people had similar issues and forum was full of tips to check battery settings, GPU drivers this and that...

After hours spent tweaking my laptop without success I have borrowed a charger from my friend who has a same laptop and it works fine while I am gaming.

Laptop is still under warranty but I am reluctant to send full laptop for troubleshooting as a lot of personal info is on it. I was using original power adapter, 230W.

Question is is there fully compatible power adapter on the market with higher power rating  (330W)?

My suggestion to you is this, phone Acer Support and tell them exactly what you have stated in this post and send the OEM charger/psu to them and also buy a new charger/psu in the meanwhile. As this component is under 12 months warranty.

    Hi @Dav123456,

    # Try to update the battery driver

    1. Hold windows key and hit letter X.
    2. Choose the device manager option.
    3. Go with the option battery.
    4. Under the title battery.
Update Battery Drivers in Windows EASILY - Driver Easy
    5. Right click on that option ----> Update all driver under the title battery.
    6. Choose "search automatically".

Check this T/S and post the result.
