Maximum supported RAM is 16GB more than RAM already soldered to your mainboard. So if you have 8GB soldered RAM, then 24GB is the maximum RAM. Maximum supported SSD is 2TB without issues. However, more than 10TB is possible but may require installation of special SSD drivers.

What speed for DDR4 RAM?  Also is there a cable For SATA3 inside already?

It accepts 2666MHz or faster RAM but buss speed is limited to 2666MHz. So don't pay extra for faster RAM because it'll downshift to 2666MHz to accomodate the buss speed. The 2.5" HDD/SSD cable part no. 50.A4VN2.003 and bracket part no. 33.A4VN2.001 are sometimes but usually not always included. You will just have to check by removing 14 screws to release the lower case and 2 screws to release the battery pack to access the 2.5" HDD/SSD bay. The bracket isn't really needed as the HDD/SSD can be suitably immobilized and protected inside the case with a few pieces of foam.

      Hi Jack,
First I'd like to thank you for all your help on this!
I also posted this question on the site (Sams Club) where I ordered this! Last night I got a reply on there site from Ace. It is as follows,
"This laptop supports DDR4 3200 Mhz, it has 4Gb onboard and one slot that supports up to 16Gb. Most any NVMe M.2 SSD should work if you need to upgrade from 512GB!
I've built several computers and fixed a couple of laptops, but this new tech is all new to me!
       Thanks

Kindly go through the details which is captured from service manual designed for your computer.

I would like to provide some additional info which will really help you.

Kindly go through the details given below.  The info provided below will be very helpful to get the current memory and ssd details of your computer and the options to upgrade it.

Please visit the website given below.  There is an option to  "start your scan "  and " select your computer " .  Please chose the options and try it.  It will show you the memory and SSD’s details and the best upgrade options for you..

It will tell you what you currently have and what you can add for memory and SSD's.

Note: If you decide to buy you can always compare the prices by visiting other websites or stores and then you can decide.  We are providing the info of scan app just to show you the upgrade options.  You can even download similar scan apps from other memory upgrade websites too.

To check the compatibility of ram which you can use on your computer.. Get CPUz and check it with that in SPD section of all the RAM and specs that you have, its a quick and simple way to check all OEM specs and what you have in your system.

CarlNIdaho just to add my advice if you want "Upgrading SSD and Ram to Max supported! Aspire 5 A517-52-72DP" as your Aspire 5 A517-52-72DP cpu is the Intel® Core™ i7-1165G7 Processor and its Intel Memory Specifications are at Max Memory Size (dependent on memory type) - 64GB and at Memory Types - DDR4-3200, LPDDR4x-4267 this is the capacity of this cpu that Intel stated specs,

So be aware of all the above specs and also do the Crucial System Scan for your A517-52-72D at P which is a modern and specific memory scan that will suggest the max and Crucial's tested RAM for that cpu and their suitable SSD drive also for your laptop, be aware that this Crucial scan will also and probably suggest a total and max RAM of 64GB like Intel suggests for this 11th Gen CPU at 2x 32GB at DDR4-2666MHz type RAM that they have tested and that they manufacture/sell and guarantee that it will work, they also explain why they suggest an above OEM and more max capacity than Acer's RAM max capacity suggests for your A517-52-72DP laptop.

So do that scan (if you want the max and ultimate memory performance) and read Crucial’s explanations why they suggest such high max RAM for your Aspire 5 A517-52-72DP.

I have ran the scan after upgrading my RAM, and Ram is good! Shows P5 + for NVMe and 1TB, while I had the case open I got some pics if it! When I can get them uploaded, I'll post them!
New question, There is a SSD bracket, as well as a Cable taped to it already installed, but I would like to know if the board will support both SATA 3 and the NVMe chip at the same time? The system came with the screws to install a SSD!

    Thanks

    >>> There is a SSD bracket, as well as a Cable taped to it already installed,>>

If this is for a 2.5" SSD or HDD, it is SATA3 only. 2.5" NVME SSDs don't exist yet for sale..

Jack, will the onboard NVMe Drive work as well as a SATA3 SSD simultaneously?

There is no onboard NVME drive. However, there may be an NVME SSD card that is inserted in an onboard NVME SSD card socket. This NVME SSD card should be unaffected by the addition of a 2.5" SATA3 SSD. They are distinctly separate and different types of SSDs.
