Will there be any problems if I upgrade my HDD for an SSD? (laptop - E5-575G-32LU)

I have some bad sectors on my HDD and I am thinking of upgrading it.
First of all, is my laptop compatable with m2 nvme or sata ssd?(read some posts and I've uploaded a photo of my PCIE root port #9),
saw in a post that the maximum size of the ssd shouldn't be more than 2TB, is that true?
Second of all, I don't understand all that stuff with the PCIE ports(is that port in the picture PCIE #9? (the circle with the letter F) and what is the meaning behind maximum link width 2x...)
Third of all, is it safer to go with Sata III 2'5 inch SSD or for m2 NVMe SSD?
At Last, should I go with

ADATA LEGEND 740 1TB SSD or ADATA SU750 SSD for my laptop model?

or just recommed me another?

Hi,
Yes, ADATA M.2 ssd should work because you can use M.2 NVMe SSD in your model but it will run at half the speed advertised by the manufacturer due to only 2lanes being enabled for PCIe, I would suggest an alternative to this drive, go for Samsung 970 Evo plus for it's performance and reliability.

Yeah right, but Samsung 970 Evo plus is a bit overkill for me and when on a budget, it's a bit unrealistic, is Kingston A400 or Adata su650 the 960GB variant any good? I really need the extra storage...

So, I've finally decided to go with the nvme Samsung 970 EVO Plus, but the SSD has one con - the temperatures explode under load (55-60 degrees without thermal pad), Soo I am wondering if I can install it on my laptop with thermal pad, my questions are : will there be room for 0.5mm additional space for the pad to get under the plastic panel under the laptop and will this be in any harm to the plastic under the SSD because the thermal pad with be touching it directly. The SSD could potentially heat more, it maxes out at around 90 degrees under extreme load(saw it in forums and reviews), so what will happen to the plastic at such temperatures?

@Ffru you can try to stick the thermal pad on the SSD but I don't really think that makes many changes because the thermal pad alone just can't dissipate heat without a proper heatsink. But other than that, it can try to spread the heat evenly on the controller and the NAND chips. Don't worry much about the temperature because it will throttle itself after a certain temperature range. If the space between the SSD and the cover is still wide enough, you can get a thin heatsink like this will be much better.

Is it better to go with Samsung 970 evo plus 1TB m2 nvme or Samsung 980?

The 980 is good for :

-1. Lower in power consumption and therefore less heat - 30 degrees idle

-2. The speed is good and even when the cache fills it gets to around 800mb/s which is plenty

-3. My PCI port is in 2 channels (x2), so i will get 1800mb/s max (900mb for a channel)

My question is: Is it worth it to spend 40 EUROS more for 970 evo plus and will the heat when playing games and doing stuff (60-70 degrees) actually impact my laptop ? I need honest advice so I can finally decide after some time thinking for a new ssd...The temperature is my only concern going for the 970 evo plus... Some people from the support told me that it will trottle after reaching certain temperature but how will this affect the sdd and the laptop?
