Hi,

I was lying on my bed with my laptop - the plastix around my screen is broken but never had a problem with it so I never replaced it.

Suddenly as Im lying, the plastic around my screen just felt off, and the screen itself felt on my knee and went black.  The laptop was still on so I pushed the power button and shut in down.

I placed everything back and checked the screen connector is ok. And turned my laptop on.

It was working but my screen kept been off. I tried to connect it to external monitor but nothing happened. So I turned it off, removed my screen and turned it on with external monitor and it was working just fine.

So I wanted to try and turn it on again with my laptop monitor - I turned it off, connected my screen.., and nothing happened.

Now my power button doesn't work.
I tried to connect it to the charger - and it seems like its charging it, but I still can't turn on my laptop again...

Any Ideas?

I understand you are not able to turn on the laptop.

It looks like a hardware issue.    I feel some of the components are not connected properly or there might be a loose connection.     It is better that you remove all the components,  reconnect it back and check it.    Please remove the battery and power cable first.    Then you remove all the components, cables,  connect it back tightly and check it.     After connecting all the cables and components,  please connect the battery and check it.   Then connect the power cable and check it.     It should turn on ..

If it is still not working..

If your laptop is in warranty you can contact the warranty dept.     Go to the website support.acer.com - chose your country.   On the new page - scroll down -  click on "contact support".  Scroll down.  You can find the phone no to contact the warranty dept.

If it is out of warranty, please contact local store or
