I bought a gaming laptop not to long ago. Acer nitro 5 17" specs

AMD ryzen 7 5800H

Nvidia GTX 3070 8GB 100W (at full when gaming)

1TB SSD (researched, config for low power)

16GB RAM

-----------------

The power supply is only 130W. That being said when I game for extended periods the power supply can't keep the battery fully charged. After awhile battery does go full. So I'm thinking something is happening for throttling to compensate.

I'm going to upgrade the main SSD then use the original SSD for basic storage. I want to double the ram plus better quality. 30W seems pretty low for powering everything while I'm gaming seeing as how my graphics card alone takes 100W.

When researching new SSDs their power consumption is higher then what I have at the moment. Also I have room for another SSD plus an HDD. Or probably just a 2.5 SSD equivalent. So that's even more power consumption.

I want to take care of my purchase. Even more wattage taken means system hangups later on. I don't want to compromise.

So what my question is, is the 180W predator power supply have the same connector as the Nitro line? An extra 50W is sufficient enough for the upgrades I'm wanting to do I think.

@R0ughhab1tz this model should have the 180W charger. That charger model is adp-180mb. Get the one that has the same-looking charger pin.
