My cpu speed drops after 10 minutes of playing a game

So sometime back i noticed significant drops in my fps so basically after 10-15 minutes of playing a game the game starts stuttering.
Previously i have had some issues related to my laptop some months back my gpu fan broke down so the third party vendor suggested shutting down the gpu fan and said that it wouldn't really make a difference and he would make the gpu use the cpu fan or something it worked fine for the first few months but now i feel like that might be the reason why my cpu slows down because of only 1 fan actually working?? i really dont know.

@CrustyCrowd so you currently have just only 1 fan working right? If so, that is the reason why the laptop is overheating. 1 fan is not enough and you will have to the GPU fan.

Thank you and have a nice day!

In some situations your CPU may slow down while you are playing a game. This can be caused by overheating, or it can be caused by attempts to conserve battery power. Sudden slowdowns – where the game is running fine and then the frame rate drops quite suddenly – are sometimes caused by these CPU slowdowns.
