Acer Aspire M5-481TG with GeForce GT640M - DirectX Issue

I purchased my laptop a couple of months ago from Newegg.com and I havent been able to play any games. The great thing about this laptop and a big reason why i bought it was the GeForce video card in an ultrabook. The sad part is the i get an 'Unable to Initialize DirectX' error message. To make sure I have direct x 8.0 or greater. The laptop comes with directx11 so I have no idea what the issue might be. Acer support is NO help when it comes to any 3rd part application issues and is not covered by the warranty. I cant play ANY games on my new laptop!!!! I've gone to NVIDIAs website and downloaded the latest drivers and still nothing. Has anyone else had this issue?

I also get a 'Could not initialize graphics system. Make sure that your video card and driver are compatible with DirectDraw' error message when trying to start up Age of Empires II.

Thanks but this is the first thing I've tried and the only suggestion i get from Acer Support over the phone. I get the following message "DirectX setup has determined that a newer or equivalent version of DriectX has been installed aleady. No installation is necessary." Any other suggestions?

I've had Toshiba, HP, Compaq, and Asus laptops but this is the only one thats given me these type of problems. I also cant right click on the trac pad but thats the least of my problems. Someone please help!

I understand that some older games will require DirectX files that are not installed with DirectX 11. So, we've got to get those DirectX files installed. Usually, needed DirectX files will be installed with whatever game requires them.
