I bought this laptop (ACER ASPIRE 3) and a CANON TS3425  about a month ago. I only needed to print last week and it will not print when connected via USB or connect wirelessly. I keep getting “Printer is in error state” or “CANON cannot print example word doc” from my computer. The printer is working fine otherwise. I had a friend come over and use their other lap top and it worked. I have downloaded the latest drivers and software on five different occasions. I have been on tech support with ACER for 2.5 hours, had them take over my computer to check settings, and each time they just log off on me after being unable to help me fix the issue. I'm running Windows 11. I would really like some assistance with this matter as it has been a large inconvenience and I am worried it will be a serious one soon if I cannot print while working from home.

Open Device Manager. Do you see any red or yellow warnings with folders open? Please post screenshot if possible.

I see no warnings in that folder. I'm attaching some screenshots of errors now.

Have you actually checked the printers functionality like and if its blocked with anything inside like a paper page or if its ink cartridge is faulty etc or if any of its mechanical functions are either broken and/or malfunctioning? As and from your caption of “Device Manager > Printers” this printer is connected to your network and the test pages should work 100% (if the printer prints) and irrespective of a network connection problem and/or even if its connected by a USB connection!

Also have you followed the TS3425 manual at "Canon Wi-Fi Connection and the Notes on Wi-Fi Connection" notes and steps in the manual? The main points in Wi-Fi connection notes states categorically for the TS3425 that:

    • This printer does not support IEEE802.11ac, IEEE802.11a, or IEEE802.11n (5 GHz). Check if your device supports IEEE802.11n (2.4 GHz), IEEE802.11g or IEEE802.11b.
    • If your device is set to the "IEEE802.11n only" mode, WEP or TKIP cannot be used as a security protocol. Change the security protocol for your device to something other than WEP and TKIP or change the setting to something other than "IEEE802.11n only."
The connection between your device and the wireless router will be temporarily disabled while the setting is changed. Do not proceed to the next screen of this guide until setup is complete.

IMO, this is NOT a network problem but an actual printer problem that needs fixing by Canon.

Seems like wrong wireless printer protocol. Open Control Panel. Search 'printer'. Click 'advanced printer setup' in left pane. Does it find the Canon? If yes, add it and set as default.
