Predator 500 Won’t Turn On

Hey everyone,

So I’ve had my Acer Predator 500 for about a year. Tonight I had my laptop on, on my desk, and left it for about maybe a half hour. It was on and working fine when I left it. No drinks were by it or anything like that. However, I came back and my laptop was in sleep mode. Screen was off. I tried to get the screen to come back on, but it wouldn’t. I pressed the power button for a few seconds until it turned completely off, and I turned it back on after waiting a minute. The screen won’t come back on, it doesn’t make the Predator start up noise, but the keyboard lights up, and for some reason the Turbo button is on too, and I can’t get that to turn off. It charges, makes the charging noise when I plug it in, power light and charging light all come on.
Oh, and only one fan is kicking on and it’s really faint. It seems to be the fans, Turbo button and screen that seem to be malfunctioning. I plan on taking it somewhere for repair, but I wanted to come on here just in case someone had a similar problem and see if it was a simple fix that I’m just not thinking of before sending it in. Any advice?
Thanks you all so much!

@Kle20 try to do a power cycle by holding the power button for 20 secs with the charger unpluged.

    Hi @Kle20,

    1. Power OFF the unit.
    2. Unplug all the cables.
    3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
    4. Turn ON the unit and check.
