Acer V246HQL DGI VGA issue

I have 2 monitors that are exactly the same, except the connecting cord.  They both used to look alike but now one is blurry and it's set to DGI and won't let me switch to VGA.  I made no system changes.  I do use a docking station but I made no changes there.  What the heck happened?

Have you tried turning the monitor off and PC off?. Then removing all the monitor input and power cables. Press and hold the monitor power button for about a minute. Then reconnect the cable. Turn the monitor on. Then turn the PC on.

DVI maybe instead of DGI? DVI is a fairly big white rectangular connector, VGA is a much smaller blue connector.
