My Headset Mic Doesn't Work Aspire E5-472G

when I plug my headset(cloud stinger 3.5m jack) to my laptop(Aspire E5-472G) the mic from the headset doesnt work, instead of headset mic,it used the laptop mic instead, how can I fix this?

    You should use a Nokia cellphone OMPT type headset, not an Apple CTIA headset type. The Apple type mic rings are different and often won't work in ACER laptops.

    Unless you are using some Apple proprietary earbuds, you are already using your headset mic.

    Your headset mic is not a separate item listed anywhere. As long as you select headset, you are using your headset mic. You can verify it by lightly tapping your headset mic, the signal meter will jump.

    It is the ompt one,should i use converter?

    No converter needed. Right click speaker icon in right tray. Click sound settings. Click sound control panel in right pane. Click recording tab. Choose headset mic.
