ACER Predator XB323QKNV - USB C DP Alt Mode

I recently bought this monitor and am using the USB C DP Alt mode to connect my work laptop (one of the reasons I chose this monitor to connect via USB C for charging and video) but I have a strange issue. When I 1st connected the monitor to the laptop, it was displaying 4k on the monitor, but whenever the monitor goes to sleep it is reverting to a 1440p resolution that I cannot change back to 4k (my PC only recognizes the monitor as a 1440p monitor). The only way I can resolve is to reset all settings on the monitor everytime and it will enable me to use 4k.

Any help would be great.
