Good evening, Acer support, I have an Acer laptop, model Aspire3 A315-54. Can I upgrade my device from i5 processor to i7? Does the laptop accept NVME or M.2 hard drives? Thank you for your generous mind.

The i5 is soldered to the mainboard and cannot be changed.

The  m.2 socket will accept an NVME m.2 card or SATA3 m.2 card up to 2TB. The NVME will be at least twice as fast as SATA3

You can add up to 16GB DDR4 sodimm 2400MHz or faster for a  max 16GB, or 20GB or 24GB RAM depending on if your mainboard has 0GB or 4GB or 8GB built-in soldered RAM

    Hi @FAZ911,

Generally, you can't. As mentioned earlier, CPU laptops are majority of the time soldered to the motherboard. Therefore, unless you have a laptop model that supports detachable CPUs, upgrading is NOT possible.
