To find out your old battery model size installed inside now follow these steps.

    (1) Search 'cmd' in Windows start menu.
    (2) Right click command prompt near top of menu.
    (3) Click run as administrator.
    (4) Enter 'powercfg /batteryreport' at command prompt.
    (5) Then return to the desktop. Open file explorer.
    (6) Then search for' battery-report.html' in the c:\windows\system32\ sub-folder. Double-click to open it in the browser.
    (7) The first part of the report will show your battery name model number. Manufacturer doesn't matter because it's a commodity item.

Then just google search the model number for vendors who ship to your location. Should be about $30-40usd.

The Acer part number for your battery is: KT.00405.005. You should do a battery rest before replacing it, in case the battery is just confused (and they get confused often enough that there is a battery reset button). Shut down and disconnect everything, including the charger. Flip the laptop over and use something like a bent paperclip to press and hold the reset button (behind that pinhole) for 15-30 seconds. Wait for a while (15-30 minutes is best) then plug only the charger back in. Wait for the battery indicator light to show a full battery then turn it on. Does it run on the battery now? If so then Jack's suggestion will give you an idea as to how worn out the battery is. You might try running a few calibrations in Windows. Run it on battery until Windows shuts it down due to low power, then fully charge it before turning it back on.
