I bought an Acer Aspire 1 A114-32 laptop in March 2020. I have had no problems but yesterday, without warning, when I tried to switch on the laptop, I get the error message 'No bootable device'. I have tried the suggestions mentioned in this forum such as F9 in the BIOS settings. HDD model name is showing as 'None'. Is there any way I can retrieve files I had saved on this laptop please?
Many thanks

Unfortunately, if no HDD drive is shown in the BIOS INFORMATION tab, this likely means its emmc flash storage  boot chip has failed. Like a cellphone photo storage chip, low end SSDs and usb thumbdrives that are used like regular HDDs or SSDs subject to many read/write cycles, they fail suddenly in precisely this manner. Accordingly, about all I can suggest if you have stored really important personal data on this highly-cycled flash storage chip is to see if a local cell phone repair shop can salvage the data.
